Northland Tourism Visitor Research

A Northland Visitor Survey was designed and analysed by Nexus Research in 2012. Approximately 350 surveys were completed, of which 240 were from international visitors. The research was commissioned by the Regional Tourism Organisation “Destination Northland” to assist with the development of a regional tourism strategy. The research concluded that Northland was delivering a strong holiday experience with over 80% of visitors highly satisfied. Detailed findings identified key activities undertaken and key motivations of visitors.
